Lance Smith is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist. He graduated from the School of Physical Therapy in Jamaica, West Indies in 1980 and susequently from Long Island University with an advanced Master's in Physical Therapy in 1991.

Lance also attended the University of Western Ontario, Canada where he worked as a physical therapist and took advanced courses in functional anatomy. Before joining METRO SPORTSMED^® , Lance had been employed as clinical specialist at the world renowned Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopeadic Institute (HJDOI). Lance served as an assistant clinical coordinator for clinical education and was the primary therapist responsible for the weekly sports medicine clinics at HJDOI.

Lance has been awarded the Sportsmetrics Certification form the Cincinatti Sports Medicine Research and Education Foundation.
